Directed by Ethan Spaulding from a screenplay by Jeremy Adams , the film stars Jennifer Carpenter (Sonya Blade), Joel McHale (Johnny Cage), Patrick Seitz (Scorpion), Jordan Rodrigues (Liu Kang) and Darin De Paul (Quan Chi). Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge is the 1st animated feature film since the franchise became a part of WB Animations.

The film follows a plot where the fate of the world is to be decided by a tournament. The evil and powerful warriors from the other world aka "The Netherrealm" have defeated the warriors from Earthrealm in a tournament of escalating one on one battles to the death for 9 generations. If the other world wins again for the 10th consecutive generation then Earth will cease to exist. This time a fierce military hero Sonya Blade(Jennifer Carpenter), movie hero Johnny Cage(Joel McHale) who thinks he is going to a movie set and a young shaolin monk Liu Kang(Jordan Rodrigues ) who is trained by the Thunder God Raiden(Dave B. Mitchell) will represent the Earthrealm. Scorpion who seeks revenge for the death of his wife and son at the hands of a treacherous villain from the Netherrealm will represent the "Netherrealm". Earthrealm fighters are out-numbered and over powered by the brutes of other world during a series of bloody and lethal confrontations. However things take a turn when Scorpion finally finds out the real killer from the Netherrealm who was responsible for the death of his wife and son.

The action sequences are flawless. The horrific deaths and bloody mayhem are well-executed as it stays faithful to the video games that were initially banned in some countries due to it's hyperviolent gameplay which had no shortage of Fans. With slick animation, blood, gore and some comic relief by Johnny Cage; Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge provides enough content that will blow the minds of the fans with hints of a lot more carnage to come.

Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge is now available on Digital and Blu ray.
