According to THE WRAP, After nearly 30 years, Michael Keaton is in talks to return to the role of Batman, to appear alongside Ezra Miller in Warner Bros.’ upcoming FLASH movie.

The Plot will introduce the idea of Multiverse to the general audiences. The multiverse refers to a shifting number of alternate universes that coexist within the larger reality depicted in DC comics. It allows several different versions of the same characters to simultaneously exist and occasionally interact. Matt Reeves upcoming “The Batman” will not be affected by this.

According to some of our sources, Keaton is coming back as BATMAN from BATMAN 1989 and Batman Returns universe. He will not be replacing BEN AFFLECK as Snyder's BATMAN nor is he playing THOMAS WAYNE BATMAN. He has signed multi-picture deal with DC and Warner Bros. His appearance is expected to be a cameo in the upcoming FLASH movie where Flash will be learning and exploring his powers. This will pave the way for a live-action BATMAN BEYOND movie where Keaton's BATMAN will be potrayed as an older BRUCE WAYNE who is retired from the job of Gotham's Guardian and recruits Terry Mc Ginnis as the next Guardian of Gotham.

They are in early talks so take this info with a grain of salt. If these rumors are true, it will introduce the audiences to DC’s film multiverse. We’ve seen the multiverse in the Arrowverse, but never on film before. Miller’s cameo scene with Grant Gustin on Crisis on Infinite Earthsplanted the seeds for these universes’ coexistence and now we could see multiple versions of Batman interact on screen. The Flash is looking to expand the idea of the multiverse for audiences with the introduction of different versions of the same character.

The film is being directed by 'It' helmer Andy Muschietti. The makers and the actors are yet to confirm or deny the report but this has taken fans' excitement to another level.

The Flash releases in theaters on June 2, 2022 and will star Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher.
